Who can upgrade a workspace to a paid subscription?

Creator, Pro and Business plans
This section covers self-serve upgrades you can complete from the Current Plan tab in workspace settings. If the plan or billing option you want is available there, you can make the change directly in your workspace.
Navigate to the Current Plan tab under your workspace settings
Click on Upgrade Plan
Choose your desired plan upgrade
Enter your payment info and confirm payment method
Click on Upgrade
You can only complete self-serve plan changes when the option you want appears in the Current Plan tab. If your desired plan, seat configuration, or billing option does not appear in workspace settings, contact Air support or sales for help with the change.
Your upgrade takes effect immediately. If you move from a paid plan to a higher paid tier (for example, Creator to Pro), you receive a 7-day trial before billing. Air sends a reminder email before the trial ends, and your payment method is charged after the trial. For upgrades from a free plan to a paid plan, your payment method is charged after your free trial expires. The payment method you enter becomes the default for the account, and future invoices are charged automatically.
How charges work for self-serve upgrades
Self-serve upgrades to a higher paid tier take effect right away. Depending on your current subscription and where you are in your billing cycle, the charge may be collected immediately or shown as a prorated adjustment on your next invoice.
If your upgrade includes a trial, the billing timing follows the trial terms described above. For upgrades from a free plan to a paid plan, your payment method is charged after the free trial ends. For qualifying upgrades from one paid tier to a higher paid tier, your payment method is charged after the 7-day trial ends.
Changing billing cadence
Switching between monthly and annual billing is only self-serve when that option appears in the Current Plan tab in workspace settings. If you need to change billing cadence and do not see that option in settings, contact Air for help.
Enterprise + custom plans
Enterprise plans, custom plans, and any plan changes that are not shown in the Current Plan tab are handled directly with Air. If you need a plan option that does not appear in workspace settings, contact our team to review the right setup.
