Adding key image
From the asset preview of any static image with a person or people
Open the image's asset preview to associate a person. Automatic face detection isn't required.
Choose whether to associate the person with the whole image without a face box or draw a bounding region around them.
Type the person's name
Select an existing person or create one if the person isn't listed.
Naming a detected face makes it a reference, or key image, that helps Air find more images of that person across other ready assets in your workspace. Whole-image associations and manually drawn regions for undetected faces link only that asset to the person. They don't train recognition or make the undetected face searchable.
Clear, accurate key images help improve matching quality for that person. Unclear or incorrect key images can contribute to broad or incorrect results.
Editing person details
Use this function to make changes to a person's name and/or title on Air.
From the asset preview of any static image with a person or people
Select the facial recognition icon (magnifying glass) in the asset details to open the People panel.
Hover over the name of the person needing an edit
Select the edit menu (three dots)
Select 'Edit person details'
Make desired changes to person's name and/or title
Select 'Save'
Changing people
If a key image, detected face, manual asset association, or person result in search/filter results is labeled as the wrong person, take these steps to get back on track. Correcting a confirmed detected-face label updates the examples used for recognition, helping keep results on track. Correcting a manual association for an undetected face changes only the asset's person link.

Select the facial recognition icon (magnifying glass) in the asset details to open the People panel.
Hover over the name of the person needing to be changed to someone else
Select the edit menu (three dots)
Select 'Change person'
Remove the incorrect name
Choose from prepopulated people that show
OR
Type the name of the correct person to select from options
OR
Type the name of the correct person to create a new person
Unlinking people
Air's facial recognition works to identify people in your workspace but for those times when Air or someone on your team gets it wrong you can choose to remove a tagged person from an image.

Select the facial recognition icon (magnifying glass) in the asset details to open the People panel.
Hover over the name of the person needing to be changed to someone else
Select the edit menu (three dots)
Select 'This is not [Name of Person]'
Select 'Unlink' when prompted
Unlinking a manual association for an undetected face removes the asset's link to that person without changing recognition training. Removing an incorrect detected-face reference helps keep that person's key image set accurate, supporting better recognition across other ready images.
Missing face detections or person tagging controls? If Air doesn't detect a face, use the manual association workflow above. If person tagging controls are unavailable, contact Air support using the messenger chat on this article page or email help@air.inc. Air can review whether this is related to a known Facial Recognition issue, missing workspace enrichment for Facial Recognition, or plan availability.
