Who can manage people on Air?

Adding key image

From the asset preview of any static image with a person or people

  1. Select the facial recognition icon (magnifying glass) in the asset details to open the People panel. This icon appears only when Air detects a face in a supported image context.

  2. Fill in name of face that is found from the open People sidebar

  3. Type the person's name

  4. Select from the prepopulated people that filter within

    OR

Create "Name" if a relevant person is not available to select

Note: You can associate a detected face with a person, but you can't manually draw or force a face box when no face is detected.

Each manual person tag becomes a key image. Key images act as confirmed examples that help Air find more images of that person across other ready assets in your workspace.

Editing person details

Use this function to make changes to a person's name and/or title on Air.

From the asset preview of any static image with a person or people

  1. Select the facial recognition icon (magnifying glass) in the asset details to open the People panel.

  2. Hover over the name of the person needing an edit

  3. Select the edit menu (three dots)

  4. Select 'Edit person details'

  5. Make desired changes to person's name and/or title

  6. Select 'Save'

Changing people

Applied a key image to an incorrect person? Take these steps to get back on track. Changing an incorrect key image updates the confirmed examples used for recognition, so accurate initial tags help keep results on track.

  2. Hover over the name of the person needing to be changed to someone else

Unlinking people

Air's facial recognition works to identify people in your workspace but for those times when Air or someone on your team gets it wrong you can choose to remove a tagged person from an image.

From the asset preview of any static image with a person or people

  1. Select the facial recognition icon (magnifying glass) in the asset details to open the People panel.

  2. Hover over the name of the person needing to be changed to someone else

  3. Select the edit menu (three dots)

  4. Select 'This is not [Name of Person]'

  5. Select 'Unlink' when prompted

Removing an incorrect link helps keep that person's key image set accurate, which supports better recognition across other ready images.

Not seeing the people panel on an image with faces in your workspace? Contact Air support using the messenger chat on this article page or email help@air.inc. Air can review whether this is related to a known Facial Recognition issue, missing workspace enrichment for Facial Recognition, or plan availability.
