Who can set up context sources?

Context sources act as workspace-level memory sources that feed information into AI generation in Air Canvas. Create separate sources for different brands, campaigns, channels, or audiences, and use the Context page to view every context source in the workspace.
Each source can hold assets and guidance that Canvas references, including logos, fonts, colors, text guidance, and custom AI instructions. You can create or refresh context from a website URL in the Context workflow, or ask the agent in Canvas to create or regenerate brand-kit information from a URL. Once configured, the relevant context source can guide AI generation in Canvas with the right brand, campaign, channel, or audience context.
This article covers how to create context sources and configure fields for colors, fonts, logos, and custom instructions. You can also adjust field order later to organize each source the way you need.
Open the Context index
Open the Context page (/context) to see every context source in the workspace. The index supports Gallery view for a visual layout and Table view for a compact list.
Use the sort menu to sort context sources by Last updated, Name, or Date created. Your view and sort choices are stored locally for your user on the same device, so they stay in place when you reload.
Creating or regenerating from Canvas
Ask the agent in Canvas to create brand-kit information for the relevant context source from a website URL. When brand information changes, ask the agent to regenerate that context source from a URL.
Create a context source
From the Context index header, select New context.
In the New context source modal, enter a name. You can also add an optional description and source URL to help define what the source is for.
Adding a new field
To set up a context source for Air Canvas, open the source you want to configure from the Context index, then add fields for the information Canvas should reference. Fields act similarly to custom fields on Air, providing categories for values such as text, files, colors, and fonts.
Open the relevant context source from the Context index.
From the source card or row menu, select Add field. The same menu also includes View context source and Delete context.
In the New field modal, enter a name for your field
Choose what kind of values this field will hold
Text
File
Color
Font
Select Create
Once the field is created, it will appear as a new category ready for values.
Workspace admins can reorder context source fields at any time by hovering over a field header and dragging the handle to move the field into a different position.
Refreshing context from a URL
If brand information changes or you want to rebuild a source, workspace admins can regenerate the relevant context source from a URL. Open the context source menu and select Regenerate from URL to refresh the reusable brand information Canvas uses for prompts and edits. Workspace admins can also ask the agent in Canvas to regenerate brand-kit information for the relevant source from a URL.
Refining brand-kit values from Canvas
While working in Canvas, open Context from the left sidebar and choose the context source you want the agent to reference. The panel shows stored logos, colors, and fonts so you can confirm which values are available before prompting the agent.
To adjust how a specific value is used, select the pencil icon on a logo, color, or font value and update its label or AI instructions. Custom AI instructions tell the Canvas AI agent how to apply that value to generated or edited images, such as when a logo should be placed or which brand color should replace an image background.
Select Save after editing a value. The modal closes and later Canvas AI edits use the updated context preferences.
Example workflow:
Select the images you want to edit on the canvas and ask the agent to change the backgrounds to brand colors.
Open Context from the left sidebar and choose the active context source.
Review the available logos, colors, and fonts.
Edit a logo or color instruction with the pencil icon if the agent needs more specific brand guidance.
Review the updated branded outputs on the canvas.
Adding text
Text fields are a freeform space where admins can describe the brand's voice, tone, style direction, and any rules for what AI output should or shouldn't include. Think of it as a guiding document for anything related to your brand/image.
After creating a text field, select Add value
Optionally, provide a label for the value
Add the text content
Optionally, add any additional AI instructions needed
Click Add to save the text field and complete your context source setup
Adding color
Use a color field to add values for your brand primary, secondary, and accent colors.
After creating a color field, select Add value
Input a hex value to input the brand color
Use the label field to name the color
Optionally, add any additional AI instructions you'd like for how the color should be used
Click Add to save the color
Adding files
You can upload image files to ensure the AI uses your correct brand marks.
Click Add value to open the New file modal
Drag and drop or browse your local drive for your desired file
Apply a label for the uploaded file
Include any additional AI instructions
Select Add
Adding fonts
Fonts ensure the AI references your specific typefaces when generating content.
Click Add value to open the new font modal.
Select Built-in font tab
Choose a font from the font family dropdown
Select your desired variant (e.g. Thin, Regular, Bold)
Apply a label for the chosen font
Include any additional AI instructions
Select Add

Select Upload font tab
Drag and drop or browse your local drive for your desired font file
Type the label for the uploaded font variant (e.g. Thin, Regular, Bold)
Apply a label for the uploaded font
Include any additional AI instructions
Select Add
Downloading files
You can also download image values, such as logos, from Context.
Open the file value’s three-dot Actions menu
Select Download.
