Context is Air's workspace-level brand memory layer. It stores the brand information — colors, fonts, logos, reference images, and custom instructions — that Air's AI uses to generate and edit content in Canvas. Unlike assets in the broader library, Context persists across every canvas session and is automatically applied to AI output across the workspace.

Think of it as the AI's memory of your brand. Use it when you want AI-generated content created in Canvas (images, edits, variations) to reflect your brand consistently without having to re-enter brand details every time.

You can navigate to Context by clicking on 'Context' in the left-hand sidebar. Note that this is a workspace-wide function, meaning anyone with correct permissions added as a user in your workspace will be able to utilize these context fields.

You can add a new field in two ways: by clicking the Actions menu (the three dots icon) at the top and selecting 'Add field' from the prompt, or by simply clicking the prominent blue 'Add field' button in the center of the page.

In the 'New field' modal, further define the field you create:

The new color field allows you to add specific brand colors. Here you can input Hex values, provide a label for the new color name, and add any additional AI instructions (such as how and how frequently the color should be used).

Once a field is created, you can manage it using the settings menu (three dots icon) located on the field itself. From here, you can edit instructions, rename the field to something more aligned with your brand, or delete it if it's no longer needed. You also have the ability to toggle the visibility of additional subfields for each item, including label, instruction, and value. Additionally, you can quickly add more items to the field by clicking the 'Add value' button located in the footer of the field section.

Other field types work similarly. For instance, you can create a 'File' field (e.g., for Logos). When adding a file, you can easily drag and drop a file downloaded to your computer, or grab it from Air Flow if you use that integration. You can also assign a label and additional AI instructions to the file.

Similarly, you can create 'Text' fields to add specific text values and instructions as needed.

When adding a new font to Context you can choose from a comprehensive selection of built-in fonts. Get specific with exact fonts when you choose from its available variants (e.g., Thin, Light, Bold Italic) using the adjacent dropdown menu.

If you have a custom brand font on your computer, you can switch to the 'Upload font' tab. Here, you can drag and drop your .ttf or .otf font files. You will have the same options to add variants for your uploaded fonts.
