Who can set up Context?

Context is Air's workspace-level brand memory layer. It stores the brand information β colors, fonts, logos, reference images, and custom instructions β that Air's AI uses to generate and edit content in Canvas. Unlike assets in the broader library, Context persists across every canvas session and is automatically applied to AI output across the workspace.
Think of it as the AI's memory of your brand. Use it when you want AI-generated content created in Canvas (images, edits, variations) to reflect your brand consistently without having to re-enter brand details every time.
From sidebar
You can access Context from the main sidebar by clicking Context. Context is a workspace-wide feature, so anyone with the appropriate permissions in your workspace can use and manage these fields.
Add field
You can add a new field in two ways: click the actions menu (the three dots icon) in the Context Source header and select Add field, or click the blue Add field button in the body of the page.
New field
In the New field modal, define the field you want to add to your Context Source:
Field name: Enter a name for your field (helpful suggestions are provided in the placeholder text)
Value type: Choose what kind of values the field will hold from the dropdown menu. This allows you to define how the field should function. The available options include Text, File, Color, and Font.
New color
The color field lets you add specific brand colors to your Context Source. You can enter a hex value, add a label, and include AI instructions for how the color should be used.
Workspace users with the admin permissions can also reorder fields. Hover over a field header, then drag the handle to move the field into a new position.
Once a field is created, you can manage it from the field's settings menu (the three dots icon). From there, you can edit instructions, rename the field, or delete it. You can also toggle the visibility of the label, instruction, and value subfields for each item, and add more items by clicking Add value in the field footer.
New file
Other field types work similarly. For instance, you can create a 'File' field (e.g., for Logos). When adding a file, you can easily drag and drop a file downloaded to your computer, or grab it from Air Flow if you use that integration. You can also assign a label and additional AI instructions to the file.
New text
Similarly, you can create 'Text' fields to add specific text values and instructions as needed.
New font
When adding a font to Context Source, you can choose from a library of built-in fonts. After you choose a font, use the adjacent dropdown to select a specific variant, such as Thin, Light, or Bold Italic.
If you have a custom brand font on your computer, switch to the Upload font tab. From there, you can drag and drop .ttf or .otf files, then add labels, instructions, and variants for each uploaded font.
Now that your workspace context is configured, your AI-generated and edited content in Air Canvas will be primed to reflect your brand's unique identity. Explore Air Canvas to see your brand memory in action!
