If your workspace does not appear in Air Flow, or if you can see the workspace but no content is available to sync or download, the issue is often related to permissions rather than the app itself.
🔎 Check your permissions
Air Flow requires that you are a workspace member with edit access.
If you are not added to the workspace as a user, the workspace will not appear in Air Flow.
If you only have access to a single board via a share link, Air Flow will not work.
👉 Confirm that you have an Editor or above workspace role in the users list of workspace settings.
✅ Confirm your role
A default function of Air Flow is the ability to add and delete content across the full workspace. This means you must have edit permissions on the workspace level.
Board users cannot sync or download content via Air Flow.
If a workspace is listed in Air Flow and folders appear in Finder but files look unavailable, this is expected: syncing makes items visible but keeps them online-only until you download them for offline use.
👉 In the users list, check that your access level is set to Editor or above in both the workspace and the libraries you want to sync.
👀 View on Air
If Air Flow shows a workspace folder, board path, or files in Finder, but the same location is empty or missing in the browser, the issue may be related to the browser view rather than Air Flow itself.
From Finder, use View on Air on the folder or file to open the exact location in the web app.
Confirm the browser is signed in with the same email and workspace shown in Air Flow settings.
Check that your account has access to the relevant library or board in the web app.
Clear any search terms or filter selections, then confirm the board or files are not in Recently Deleted.
Open Air Flow Status or the Uploads and downloads view to check for paused, in-progress, failed, or stopped sync activity.
♻️ Refresh Air Flow after confirming access
Once your permissions are correct:
Quit Air Flow completely.
Reopen and log back in.
Select your workspace to begin syncing.
🛠️ Still stuck?
If your permissions are correct but you still see “no workspaces” or no content:
Try a Force Resync in Air Flow settings.
Uninstall and reinstall Air Flow (Uninstalling Air Flow).
Contact Air Support using the messenger icon below for an account-level check. Include screenshots of the Finder path, Air Flow Status or Uploads and downloads view, the browser page, and the signed-in email and workspace.
