Who can install Air Flow?
👨👩👧👦 Supported on any Air plan
✏️ Anyone that has edit access to the workspace and either a Mac device with OS 11 or later or a Windows device (beta; email hello@air.inc to join)
👀 Initial sync checks your whole workspace 👀
During initial setup, Air Flow performs a workspace scan/indexing pass to establish the Finder app and count items. The timing varies based on your workspace size + complexity.
This scan includes every item you can access in the workspace and cannot be prevented or limited by selecting only certain boards or libraries. Before installing Air Flow, ensure you are on a stable internet connection.
Air Flow syncs existing workspace content to Finder, so you can choose which boards and libraries appear on your desktop and what stays online-only or available offline. In this article, we'll walk you through how to install Air Flow.
Open the downloaded app to begin to install
Add the Air Flow app to your Applications folder
Open the now installed Air Flow app
Log in with your Air credentials
Select the workspace you want to sync with
Choose what to sync to Finder using Selective Sync. You can include the boards and libraries you want to appear in Finder, and exclude specific boards or libraries from sync altogether.
Choose whether to keep synced items online-only or download them for offline use. Syncing determines what appears in Finder, while offline access determines what is stored locally on your computer. Offline access only controls which synced files are downloaded to local storage; it does not control the initial indexing/counting pass. By default, items are downloaded when you open them. You can make all synced items available for offline use, or choose specific boards or assets to make available offline at any time.
