If Air Flow is not working on your desktop, try the steps below to troubleshoot, isolate the issue, and get back to work.
After each step, check if the issue is resolved.
If it’s still there, move on to the next step
If you are seeing the same error but a different board path shows, retry or redo the step that resolved the error of the previous path
🆕 Upgrade to the latest version of Air Flow
🎬 Restart Air Flow
Note: There’s no risk to restarting the app. All Air Flow processes will restart and pick up syncing where it last left off.
Right-click the Air icon in your menu bar
Click “Quit Air”
Reopen Air Flow from Applications folder
♻️ Retry
Note: There’s no risk to selecting retry. This action tells Air's app to continue running as it is supposed to.
Give the action another go by pressing the “Retry” button in the sync error pop-up.
☁️ Replace the item in the sync error pop-up from cloud
Note: If there are any unsaved local changes for this item, they will be overwritten by the current version of this item in the workspace. To avoid loss of changes, save a copy of any locally stored/created items to a location outside of the Air workspace folder first.
Change out the erroring item by pressing the “Replace from cloud” button in the sync error pop-up.
🚨 Replace your local workspace
Note: This action fetches the full current state and the local filesystem of the syncing Air workspace and attempts to sync any differences. This may take longer on large workspaces. This action can also risk data loss if there are any unsaved local changes in the workspace. To avoid loss of changes, save a copy of any locally stored/created items to a location outside of the Air workspace folder first.
Change out the entire workspace by pressing the “Replace local workspace” button in the sync error pop-up.

Select the gear icon
Select Force resync
Select Resync
🧹 Force resync with local data wipe
Note: This action fetches the full current state of syncing Air workspace and attempts to sync any differences. This may take longer on large workspaces. This action can also risk data loss if there are any unsaved local changes in the workspace. To avoid loss of changes, save a copy of any locally stored/created items to a location outside of the Air workspace folder first.

Select the Air icon in your menu bar
Select the gear icon
Select Force resync
Check the box to delete all local data and restart the local sync for the workspace
Select Resync
🚫 Delete the workspace folder from Finder and select “Pull from cloud” when prompted
Note: This action can risk data loss. To avoid loss of changes, save a copy of any locally stored/created items to a location outside of the Air workspace folder first.
Move or delete your entire workspace folder (i.e the
{User}/Air/{Workspace Name} folder on your computer) out of the root Air folder.Click the “Pull from cloud” button in the sync status bar when prompted
