Who can use annotations?

βοΈ Anyone who has comment access to the workspace, library, or board
πΊοΈ Anyone that visits a share link with comments enabled
Annotations allow you to highlight a certain area of an image or video to share focused feedback. A photographer can request a lighting adjustment on a the corner of a shot. A marketer can designate where they want their logo watermark to be on an image. An editor can call out a point of interest in a video.
Point-based
At the bottom right of the browser window from any asset preview, activate the annotate button within any asset or from the asset's comment tab
Select the pointer tool
Move your cursor over the image or video (Your cursor image will change to show this functionality)
Click on the asset where you want to leave feedback
Click on the desired location for the feedback to place a pointer
Click + hold + drag across the desired location for feedback to apply a rectangular shape for highlighting an area
Type your feedback in the resulting comment field
Save what you write by clicking the paper airplane icon.
Freeform
At the bottom right of the browser window from any asset preview, activate the annotate button within any asset or from the asset's comment tab
Select the freeform annotation tool (squiggly line)
Select your preferred drawing settings for color and line thickness
Move your cursor over the image or video (Your cursor image will change to an icon of a pen show this functionality)
Click on the desired location for the feedback to begin drawing
Type your feedback in the resulting comment field
Save what you write by clicking the paper airplane icon.
