Get Started on Air as a Workspace Commenter

Learn how to view, comment, download, and search assets as an Air Workspace Commenter.

Written by Lauren Ford

Welcome to Air! As a Workspace Commenter, your primary role is to review creative assets, provide feedback, and download the files you need. You have direct access to all projects and content you need. This means you can download assets frequently and leave feedback without trying to locate the correct link through Slack or asking your team to re-send links.

What you can do

  • Browse and view all content across the entire workspace.

  • Leave comments and feedback on clips, including timestamped video comments and pinned annotations.

  • Download assets directly whenever you need them.

  • View tags and custom field values on clips to understand asset metadata.

  • Search the entire workspace instantly using Smart Search.

What you can't do

  • Upload new content or edit existing assets.

  • Create, delete, or move boards.

  • Edit tags or custom field values.

  • Add or invite other users.

  • Access billing, plan settings, or spend AI credits.

  • Create new share links.

Where to start

Browse your workspace boards

Explore the boards and sub-boards that have been shared with you to see the creative assets.

Open an asset and leave a comment

Click on any image or video to open the detail screen. On images, click directly on the asset to pin an annotated comment to a specific spot. On videos, toggle the timestamp option to pause playback and leave feedback at a specific moment.

Download assets you need

Hover over an asset thumbnail and select 'Download' from the three-dot menu, or click the 'Download' button from the asset preview screen.

Use Smart Search

Use the search bar at the top or in the left sidebar to find specific assets quickly using natural language.
