Welcome to Air! If you have been added as a Board Commenter, you are likely a client, stakeholder, or external reviewer invited to collaborate on a project. As a board guest, your main role is to review creative assets, share your feedback, and download the files you need. Unlike workspace users, you only have access to the specific board you were invited to, keeping your focus exactly where it needs to be.
What you can do
As a Board Commenter, you have all the tools necessary to review creative work and collaborate with your team. Within your assigned board, you can:
Browse and view content: Explore all the images, videos, and other creative assets shared on the board.
Leave feedback: Add comments directly on assets. You can use annotations to pin comments to a specific part of an image or leave timestamped comments on video files.
Download assets: You can download assets frequently from the board to your local device when you need them.
View metadata: Open the details panel to view tags and custom field values associated with each asset.
What you can't do
To ensure project organization and prevent accidental deletion of important files, Board Commenters have specific guardrails. You cannot:
Upload, edit, move, or delete any assets.
Edit tags, custom fields, or other metadata.
Access other boards in the workspace unless you receive an explicit invitation.
Access or modify any workspace settings.
Where to start
Ready to jump in? Follow these simple steps to get started with your assigned board:
Sign in to your account
Locate your invite email and click the link to join the board. If you already have an account, sign in directly at app.air.inc. Once you log in, your invited board will appear in the workspace sidebar. If you run into issues logging in, contact the board owner to confirm your invitation is active.
Browse the board
Click on the board in your sidebar to view all the shared content. You can scroll through the assets and use the grid to get an overview of the project.
Leave targeted feedback
Click on any asset to open the asset detail screen. To leave a comment, click into the comment box on the right. For precise feedback on images, click directly on the image to place a numbered pin. For videos, use the timestamp toggle to link your comment to a specific frame.
Download your assets
When you need to save a file, click the download button on the asset detail screen or select multiple files from the board view to download them as a zip file.
Tip: If you find that you need to upload new content, move files, or make edits, ask the board owner to update your permission level. Because Air uses standard board roles, they will need to change your access level to Editor to grant full edit access.
