How does Air Flow work?

Air’s desktop app integrates with your computer’s file system (Mac OS Finder) to make your entire workspace available on your computer, without opening the web browser. Air Flow is available on Windows in beta; to join, email hello@air.inc. You have the control to choose which Libraries or Boards to sync to your computer. For synced content, items are available online only by default and appear in Finder without taking local storage; you can choose to download specific boards or assets for offline use.

Syncing vs. downloading for offline use

  • Sync shows folders and files as icons in Finder. Files remain online-only until you download them.

  • Select specific boards or assets to download for offline use when you need to make them available locally.

  • Syncing alone does not take local storage; only downloaded items use disk space.

Updates made to workspace files in Finder will be immediately reflected in your workspace and on any other teammate’s synced computer so everyone always has the most up-to-date file.
