Do I need to make a separate link for each file I want to share with someone?

Written by Lauren Ford

No—if you share a board, visitors to the board link will see all the files and sub-boards contained within it. You don’t need to create individual links for each asset.

A board share link is scoped to the board or sub-board it was created for, including the visible files and sub-boards inside it. You can also consider using quick share links for sharing multiple items across different locations in your workspace.

Separate share links for individual assets, files, file versions, or ad-hoc selections are independent from the board link. Disabling a board share link disables that board’s public URL, but it doesn’t automatically disable those separate links.

For sharing with your internal teammates / library members, skip the share link creation step altogether. Send or hyperlink them to your browser window URL to share with ease. No need to create a public link for people who have a login to your workspace and access to the content you want to share.
