What is prorated billing?

Understanding unused time and remaining time on your invoice

Air subscriptions are prorated to account for mid-cycle changes to your plan. Prorated billing means you're only charged for the portion of your billing cycle that reflects these recent changes. These changes can include:

  • Adding or removing users (legacy plans, where user-based changes apply)

  • Upgrading or downgrading your plan

  • Other qualifying subscription adjustments handled with Air’s help

Prorated billing describes how qualifying mid-cycle subscription changes are charged, but it does not mean every plan or billing change can be completed in workspace settings.

You'll only be charged for the time the feature was active, not a full billing cycle.

🧾 Subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually), and mid-cycle changes may result in prorated charges or credits that appear on the invoice tied to that change or the next renewal, depending on your subscription state and timing.

Your invoice may include:

  • Standard Charge – Your monthly or annual subscription

  • Remaining Time – A prorated charge for a qualifying subscription change during your billing cycle

  • Unused Time – A prorated credit for a qualifying subscription change during your billing cycle
