π·οΈ Save to workspace creates a copy in the destination workspace. It does not move content out of the source workspace, and copied assets do not connect or sync back to the original assets. Manual tags, custom field values, and comments do not transfer with the copied assets.
Workspaces and their libraries are built to be separate rooms in which assets are stored, but transferring assets from one workspace to another doesn't have to be difficult. Try adding an existing board and its assets to another Air workspace - no re-uploading needed!
Before you start
The workspace picker only shows destination workspaces that are joined under the Air account you are currently logged in with. If the destination workspace belongs to a separate Air account that uses a different login, it will not appear in the selector.
Before you save content from a share link, make sure your current account has joined the destination workspace or once you have your share link generated, that you log out to log in to the account with the correct destination workspace access.
AI enrichment on saved assets: When you use Save to workspace from a Share Link, assets that do not already have AI enrichment are enriched in the destination workspace for any enabled Air's AI Features (for example, Smart summaries/tags or video transcripts/summaries). Enrichment is generated after the copy is completed and is workspace-specific.
What transfers and what does not
When you save from a share link, Air copies the file content into the destination workspace. If the shared asset includes additional file versions, those versions copy with the asset as part of the saved file history.
Workspace-specific metadata does not transfer with the copy. This includes manual tags, custom field values, and comments.
If AI features are enabled in the destination workspace, AI enrichment is generated there after the copy is complete.
Navigate to the share link you wish to copy content from
Select 'Save to workspace' from the "Save to..." drop-down menu in the top right
From the 'Select workspace' modal, use the drop-down to choose the destination workspace from the list of workspaces associated with your current Air account
Select 'Save'
Planning larger transfers
Copying an entire board or a very large batch of assets at once may fail or time out. For larger moves, transfer content in smaller batches, such as one board or a manageable set of assets at a time.
Audit content before transfer
Before you copy content, review it from workspace-wide views so you know what needs to move. Use Search or All assets & files to inspect the full set of assets and files you plan to transfer.
Check board count on assets to understand where items already live, and review unused items (items without a board) so nothing is missed.
Air does not provide a single flat view of every board as a transfer checklist, so track progress manually outside the transfer flow or work through boards systematically.
