When you copy assets to another workspace using Save to Workspace, some information is newly generated while other metadata does not transfer. Here is what to expect regarding your AI-generated data.

AI Enrichment

AI enrichment (such as Smart Tags, Smart Summaries, and video transcriptions) is workspace-specific. This means AI data from the source workspace is not copied over as-is.

If the destination workspace has the relevant AI add-ons enabled, Air will generate new enrichment for the copied assets. This ensures the data is fresh and configured according to the new workspace's settings.

  • Processing begins shortly after the save is complete.

  • This applies even if the asset already had AI enrichment in the source workspace; it will be regenerated in the destination.

  • If you include versions in your save, enrichment applies to each relevant asset version.

Manual metadata

While AI enrichment is regenerated, other manual metadata does not follow assets across workspaces. The following items are not transferred:

  • Manual tags

  • Custom field values

  • Comments

Once your assets are saved and enriched, you can verify the data. Learn more about viewing metadata to see your new tags and summaries in action.
