Who can use tasks?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Supported on any Air plan

✏️ Everyone in your workspace can open Air. Editors can ask Air to make changes. Viewers and commenters can ask Air for summaries and search

🪙 Air tasks operate on up to 20 selected assets per request and utilize workspace credits. To review your balance and usage rules, see Explore Credits.

Say it once. Air handles the rest. Air is an agent for creative work that automates repetitive busywork across your workspace. Instead of tagging, renaming, and reorganizing assets one at a time, you describe what you need in plain language, review the proposed changes, and let Air execute the work across your library.

Tasks on Air

A task is a single request you give Air, from the moment you describe your goal to the completed summary you receive back. Air works directly from what your workspace already knows—including your assets, tags, custom fields, comments, version stacks, and boards—eliminating the need to re-explain your organizational setup.

Air tasks support key creative workflows:

  • Summarize asset status: Receive plain-language run-downs of changes, open feedback, and sign-offs based on your approval workflow.

  • Bulk file renaming: Apply a consistent naming convention using custom prefixes, suffixes, sequential numbering, or asset details across your files.

  • Bulk tag and metadata updates: Apply tags and custom field values across multiple assets simultaneously, or let Air assign values based on asset content.

  • Generate variants: Produce resized, cropped, or recolored variants of your assets and save them directly to your workspace.

  • Find and organize content: Locate assets and boards by name, create new boards, and manage asset membership without duplicating files.

Reach for Air tasks whenever a job is repetitive and can be described clearly in a sentence. Tasks are ideal when you:

  • Receive incoming deliveries from external partners or agencies and need all files renamed and tagged consistently.

  • Prepare boards for external sharing and want a clear, uniform naming convention so recipients immediately identify asset context.

  • Need to check whether all collaborators have approved an asset stack before client handoff.

  • Want to generate quick multi-channel aspect ratios for existing assets.

From workspace view

Tasks can be initiated from multiple entry points across your workspace interface.

In the main workspace navigation header, you can access the primary Start task button at any time.

Inside the Air panel on the right, you can use prompt templates, type instructions, reference assets and boards with the @ mention tool, or start a new thread using the + icon.

To view your history and resume previous requests, open View tasks from the task panel header.

To expand your working area while keeping your request running in the background, click the Minimize icon in the top corner of the panel.

When viewing an individual file in the asset detail view, the dedicated Tasks button in the top bar allows you to run tasks scoped directly to that asset.
