Who can use tag manager?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Supported on any Air plan

✏️ Anyone with edit access to the workspace

The Tag Manager is located in Workspace Settings under "Your Tags" and allows you to quickly create, edit, merge, search, and view tags in your workspace. Tag Manager is a Workspace Settings tool for bulk managing workspace-level tags and is available to users with edit access to the workspace. If you have edit access only at the board or library level, you can still create, apply, and remove tags on content you can edit, but you cannot use Tag Manager features for bulk managing tags. Use Tag Manager when you want to take fast bulk actions and build a library of tags that your team can use across Air to find what they are looking for.

Search tags

Use the Tag Manager to quickly locate tags for editing, viewing, or merging existing tags. The resulting list brings your existing tags front and center.

+ New

Create new tags for your workspace with the "+ New" button in the Tag Manager. New get captured on the manager, are immediately searchable, and able to be applied across the your Air workspace.

Sort

Tags are sorted by name in ascending order by default. Select the Name column header to sort alphabetically, then use the direction control to switch between ascending (A to Z) and descending (Z to A). Select the Times used column header to sort by usage frequency, then use the direction control to switch between descending (most used first) and ascending (least used first).

Inline tag edits

Change a single tag name on any asset within your workspace that has the associated tag.

Edit menu

Hovering over any tag listed reveals the standard edit menu option (three dots). Using this menu, you are able to quickly navigate to 'View all tagged' content in your workspace, rename, or delete by the single asset.

Multi-selected tags

Use this feature to take bulk actions on the tags within your tag manager. From the resulting black menu bar at the bottom center of your window:

  • Merge multiple tags into a pre-existing tag or newly created tag

  • View the content associated with each selected tag in your workspace under 'Search all files'

  • Delete multiple tags at once
