๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Supported on any Air plan

โœ๏ธ Anyone who has view access to a workspace, library, or board

The workspace sidebar on Air gives you quick access to the main areas of your workspace. From the sidebar, you can open Search, Notifications, People, Canvases, Context, Share links, and Recently deleted, then move into your boards or libraries below.

Search includes a dropdown for fast filters and saved searches, so you can jump straight to common views without opening a separate sidebar section.

Workspace icon

The icon that identifies your workspace in the top left corner of the sidebar can be clicked to collapse and expand the sidebar allowing for more working space on Air as needed!

The sidebar doesn't have to be visible for your entire session. Use the menu (you may know it as the hamburger) icon to collapse the sidebar. Use the same icon to expand the sidebar. The sidebar size is also customizable to each workspace viewer based on your preference

Workspace title

The workspace title contains a drop down menu with quick access to:

  • Invite users

  • Workspace settings

  • Switch workspace

  • Color theme

  • Account settings

  • Log out

๐Ÿ”Ž Search

The top section of the sidebar helps you move across your workspace without relying only on board structure. These main navigation items give you quick access to search tools, activity, people, working spaces, and supporting views before you move into boards or libraries.

Use Search to browse and filter content across your workspace without navigating through nested boards. You can search for assets and files, or jump to a board by searching its title.

Search also includes a dropdown with fast filters and saved searches for quick access to common views, including Recently added, My uploads, My favorites, Recently modified, Unused items, Untagged items, and any saved searches available in your workspace.

โฌ†๏ธ Recently added

Open this view from the Search dropdown to see assets and files added to the workspace within the past 30 days.

๐Ÿ•“ My uploads

Open this view from the Search dropdown to see assets and files you uploaded to the workspace.

โญ๏ธ My favorites

Open this view from the Search dropdown to see assets and files you have favorited in the workspace.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Recently modified

Open this view from the Search dropdown to see assets and files that were modified in the workspace within the past month.

๐Ÿ“‘ Unused items

Open this view from the Search dropdown to find assets and files that are not currently assigned to a board.

๐Ÿท๏ธ Untagged items

Open this view from the Search dropdown to find assets and files that do not have tags applied.

๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Saved searches

Saved searches are available from the Search dropdown. Use them to reopen search criteria your team uses often without rebuilding the same filters each time.

๐Ÿ”” Notifications

Gain quick access to see activity relevant to you within your Air workspace.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ People

Use People to browse the people connected to your workspace and quickly open person-level views when available.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Canvases

Use Canvases to open shared visual working spaces connected to your workspace.

๐Ÿงฉ Context

Use Context to access workspace information and connected context views available in your account.

Access and manage ad-hoc links to any mix of assets across boards. Use this tab to review links you created, adjust permissions, or revoke accessโ€”without changing your workspaceโ€™s board structure.

๐Ÿ”— Share links

Use share links to tap into your workspace's multi-share links. More public link types (asset, board, content collection available soon!)

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Recently deleted

Use Recently deleted from the main sidebar to review content that was recently removed from the workspace.

Upload status button

The upload status button appears in the bottom-left area of the sidebar when you are logged in to a workspace and start an upload.

The button shows a count of uploads in progress. After uploads finish, it shows a count of completed uploads. Select the button to open or close the full upload modal.

Anyone who can upload in the workspace, including workspace and board users with upload access, can see this button.

Boards / Libraries

Below the main sidebar navigation, you'll see a 'Boards' or 'Libraries' (Enterprise only) section depending on your account type. The views within are manually built by your workspace admins and editors.

If you prefer to work from the main sidebar navigation and search tools first, you can collapse board or library items to keep the sidebar focused on the views you use most.

Boards

The '+' icons next to the 'Boards' header or visible when hovering over any board title allows users to create new boards for the workspace.

Each board in view on the workspace sidebar also contains an edit menu (three dots) when you hover over its name with your cursor. This gives easy access to:

  • Share a link

  • Favorite

  • Download

  • Open in Finder (Air Flow users only; Mac only)

  • Move

  • Add a sub-board

  • Rename

  • Duplicate

  • Connect to Slack

  • Delete from workspace

Libraries

Use the edit menu (three dots) for any Library to modify library settings. Depending on your access level to the library in view, you can also:

  • Invite members

  • Leave library

  • Delete library
