Air helps you keep track of your usage by displaying clear low-credit and depleted-credit states when your workspace is above 90% credit usage and when credits are fully depleted. If you are seeing these alerts, your workspace is approaching or has reached its credit limit for the current billing cycle.
What you see depends on your role. Admins and workspace owners see a banner and pop-up with a path to upgrade, or to talk to sales on enterprise plans. Editors see a banner and pop-up that directs them to contact their admin.
Credits reset automatically at the start of each monthly cycle. The exact date depends on your plan:
Free plan: Credits renew on the monthly anniversary of your workspace creation date.
Paid plans: Credits renew on the monthly anniversary of your plan purchase date.
What happens if I reach zero credits?
If your workspace reaches zero credits, the messaging you see depends on whether your workspace is on a credit-based plan or a legacy plan. Hard limits are enforced immediately to prevent unexpected usage. When this happens:
You will be blocked from uploading or importing new files.
You cannot generate new AI content or make canvas edits.
You can still save existing canvas assets to your workspace, but this cost will accrue as overage.
Canvas agent entry points also reflect credit depletion more clearly. The chat composer shows depleted-state copy with a next step, and the agent toggle can be disabled with a tooltip when credits are unavailable.
Even when your credit balance is completely depleted, core workspace functions remain fully accessible. You can continue:
Browsing and searching for assets
Sharing links externally
Adding users to your workspace
