Who can use the Air Mobile App?
👨👩👧👦 Supported on any Air plan
📧 Anyone workspace or board user with an active Air account
Access your creative workspace on the go. The Air mobile app is designed for quick access, browsing, searching, and uploading while you are away from your desktop. Whether you need to find an asset during a meeting or upload content directly from your device's camera roll, the mobile app keeps your creative workflow moving.
The Air mobile app is supported on all Air plans. Anyone with access to an Air workspace, library, or board can sign in and browse content they have permission to view. If you have edit access, you can also add photos, videos, or files directly from your mobile device.
From 🏠 home screen
Use the Recent boards section to swipe horizontally through boards you have opened recently. If your workspace uses libraries, tap a library such as General to open its available boards.
From libraries
Tapping any library opens a gallery view the boards inside it.
From boards
Tapping any board card opens the board and view of its items, including title, description, sub-boards, asset and file thumbnails. Each item section is collapsible to quickly update your view. Users can also use the back button or standard swipe gesture to return to a previous view.
The edit menu also provides options for sort view, adding to favorites, or removing the board from your workspace.
From search 🔍
The Search icon in the bottom navigation allows you to use Air's exact search to enter your search terms and return results. The X in the search field clears search and the close button exit search and return to the workspace's home screen.
Use the mobile app search section's edit menu to modify your search's sort. Choose between custom sort, name, size, date uploaded, date created, date modified, date taken, resolution, and comment count.
For more advanced search options on desktop, see Explore Search & Filters.
From upload ➕
When you allow access to your Photo Library, Air's mobile app can accept images and video stored in your device's Photos app. Tapping the floating + button will prompt you to provide access.
After authorization, Air's mobile app allows you to Choose from Photos, Choose Files, or Create a new board. Choose from Photos to add content to your Air workspace from your device photo gallery. Choose files to add items stored in your Files app to your Air workspace. Or start fresh with a new board or sub-board.
From asset detail screen
The asset detail screen is a streamlined preview and management hub for your images and videos on mobile. It allows you to view high-resolution previews, track file versions, inspect asset metadata, and organize your content across boards while working on your mobile device. For a comprehensive overview of the desktop experience, see our guide on the Explore Asset Detail Screen.
Boards
You can view and manage every board your asset currently belongs to. The board you navigated from is clearly labeled as your Current Location. From this section, you can add the asset to additional boards or remove it from specific locations without duplicating the file. To learn more about how assets live in multiple boards, see Explore Boards + Sub-Boards.
Custom and smart metadata
Keep your workspace organized by viewing and editing custom fields—such as campaign names, usage rights, or project codes—directly from your phone. You can also view AI-generated smart metadata, which includes a plain-language summary of the visual content and searchable smart tags. For more details on metadata capabilities, see Viewing metadata and Explore Custom Fields.
File info
When you need to verify technical or administrative details about an asset, expand the File info section. This displays essential system-level details, including creation and modification dates, upload timestamps, the uploader's name, and the upload source.
Versions
Air's version control keeps your iterations organized in one place. Tapping the version badge in the top-right corner opens Versions panel, where you can view all historical iterations of the asset and download specific versions directly to your mobile device. To understand how version stacks work, see Managing version stacks.
Download
Save files directly to your device's camera roll using the download icon. Once the download is complete, a confirmation banner will notify you that the asset has been successfully saved to your Photos. For more information on download permissions, see Downloading content.
Delete content
If an asset is no longer needed, you can permanently delete it from your workspace using the red action button at the bottom of the Asset info panel. Note that this action removes the asset from all boards and locations. To understand workspace deletion permissions and recovery options, see Deleting content.
Now that you know how to navigate the Air mobile app, explore what you can do with your assets once they are uploaded. Check out our guide on the Explore Asset Detail Screen to learn how to view, download, and comment on assets directly from your mobile device.
